1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GoTreatMe ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

GoTreatMe is a crowdfunding platform that allows pet owners to create fundraising goals for pet treats. Contributors can donate toward these goals. When a goal is fully funded, GoTreatMe purchases treats directly from vendors and arranges delivery to the pet owner.

Important: Funds are never transferred directly to pet owners. All treat purchases are made by GoTreatMe to prevent fraud and ensure contributions go toward actual pet treats.

3. User Accounts

To create a pet profile and set funding goals, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

Providing accurate information about yourself and your pet
Maintaining the security of your account credentials
All activity that occurs under your account

4. Pet Owner Responsibilities

As a pet owner using GoTreatMe, you agree to:

Only create profiles for pets you actually own or are the primary caretaker of
Provide accurate descriptions and photos of your pet
Provide a valid shipping address for treat delivery
Not create fraudulent or misleading campaigns
Not use the platform for any illegal purposes

5. Contributions

All contributions are processed securely through Stripe. By making a contribution, you understand that:

Contributions are donations to help purchase treats for pets
Contributions are generally non-refundable once a goal is funded
100% of your selected treat amount goes toward the pet's goal
Platform and payment processing fees are added on top of your treat amount
GoTreatMe does not guarantee any specific outcome from your contribution

6. Platform Fees

GoTreatMe charges a 5% platform fee on contributions. This fee, along with payment processing fees (charged by Stripe), is added on top of your selected treat amount. This means 100% of the treat amount you choose goes directly toward the pet's goal, while fees are paid separately.

7. Prohibited Content

You may not upload or share content that:

Is fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive
Depicts animal abuse or cruelty
Infringes on intellectual property rights
Is obscene, offensive, or inappropriate
Violates any applicable laws

GoTreatMe reserves the right to remove any content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

8. Limitation of Liability

GoTreatMe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have contributed through the platform.

9. Modifications

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification.
